A New Year's Message from Selena

Well its a New Year and an Olympic year at that, its going to be very exciting to ride the Road to Rio.

It was a roller coaster of a year in 2015 with many blessings. I'm truly grateful for all the support I have had from owners, sponsors, fans, family and friends. I could not do it without you.

Being a part of the 2015 Pan American team in Toronto was an excellent experience. It was by far the best venue I have ever attended, and so well organized. It made me proud to be Canadian. Our team bronze medal & Jessica's individual silver were the icing on the cake. I am glad I got to be a part of it.

I finished my season with back to back personal bests on John and Judy Rumble’s amazing horse 'Foxwood High’, which was thrilling. Woody and I have had huge breakthroughs in our dressage, and in our feel together in all three phases. I feel we are a force to be reckoned with now that we have developed such a strong partnership. Our clinic with Ingrid Klimke this fall was inspiring and reinforced my feeling that we are on the right path. I can't wait for the 2016 show season to begin.

With Rio in sight we are now planning ahead for our trip to Ocala, Florida where our new adventures begin shortly. I am looking forward to training camps and competitions with team Canada.

O'Hanlon Eventing will be based at Chesterland South again this winter with the iconic Bruce Davidson overseeing our endeavours. Chesterland South is such an excellent facility for training all levels of horses and riders, all my horses and I always benefit from our stay.

"They" say you must enjoy the process, well I do, and it's a pleasure to have your company along this path I have chosen. I wish you and your loved ones health & happiness in the exciting year ahead.

Best wishes from Selena and the O'Hanlon Eventing team.
